Design: 2003 Construction: 2004-2008

The building is located in Aigina island, in “Aiginitissa” area, near “Perdika” settlement, and includes 3 summer residences, which are organized around an atrium in the south, with a swimming pool in the center, and a view towards “Perdika” and the little island “Moni”.

The main idea was to harmonize the building volumes with the steep slopes of the landscape and the communication of the three residences through semi-open-air spaces and the atrium. The construction of an underground garage and elevator was necessary, due to the steep slopes of the landscape. The building retreats 10m because of the obligatory green lane and is elevated much higher from the level of the street, taking advantage of the view towards the sea and the south orientation.

Bioclimatic-architecture: The building shell opens to the south, while the main reception area spaces look towards atrium, sheltered balconies or pergolas. The bedrooms, located in a higher level, head towards the east and open to terraces, with the necessary openings to the north for cooling down. In the lower level large, sheltered spaces to the south, unite around the swimming pool. The terraced yards allows the building to cool down, while the openings are protected with the appropriate canopies.
